It is important to know that the performance of agriculture earlier measured in terms of food, fiber and bio-energy production, now to a large extent, is measured on a range of other social and environmental outcomes, both positive and negative. The emerging consensus of agriculture at meeting the needs of a growing and potentially more prosperous global population mainly from the existing stock of agricultural resources will safe world's ecosystems at the verge of being irreparably damaged. 

In order to sustainably manage the agro-ecological systems created by such innovations in the face of growing and potentially more prosperous global population, the historical basis of origin upon which the transformation and the revolutionary development that brought us to the present times and what the future of world agriculture holds becomes imperative.

 

The demand for food driven essentially by socioeconomic factors, environmental (climate change) and technological revolution especially the challenges associated with the challenges of Covid_19 pandemic and the realities of the post-Covid era, as well as political uncertainties, many of which are spatially specific, are pinned as identifiers that will shape the characteristic trends in the emerging agricultural systems evolution. 

  Urgent solutions which invariably will be sought from historic antecedents will lead to futuristic agricultural mechanization re-evolution in the today’s emerging world is required. This is vital to innovation in power development, machinery and equipment design and manufacturing among others.
